Title: WTB N95 Fuel Line shields
Post by: Cuda Cody on January 23, 2017, 12:37:17 PM
I'm looking for the N95 covers for a 1970 Challenger.  I have the narrow metal piece but missing the larger one.   Anyone have one they want to sell?

Is it the same as the one piece 1971 E Body shield ?

I think I remember hearing that they are different for 1970 and 1971.  The one I have is 2 pieces and I'm missing half of it.  But I'll buy a complete set if someone has one.

Do you know if it will fit an E-Body?  I don't know much about them.   :notsure:  Looks pretty close to the one in the photo.

Those are readily available in reproduction and I believe they make ones with tabs on them for 70 as well

Cody, are you looking for a Cuda or Challenger? After typing this, I would suspect they are the same, but one is always made out to be an ass when they assume something, right.  :bricks:

PS. That sure looks like mine, but it is packed in a box and only if I knew which one.

That's awesome!  But the last one just sold in the last 24 hours.  :crying:  I'll keep an eye out to see if he lists more, if not I guess I'll just make one.  :slapme5:

I have picked up a few things from Jim, and he will relist. Just send him a message and I bet it will happen asap. I will probably buy one, like I said, mine is rusty and crusty. And for $35 to the door is hard to beat.  :ohyeah:

Hi Cody, I never knew about this site, very nice !! :bigthumb:

I would have no problem posting the parts I make on your site. I sell cutting tools to industry and machine shops and one of my friends/ customer makes my parts right here in the US of A and has for years. Everything is made to the original factory spec using original parts.
I currently have :
-both 1970 California emission and 1971-4 fuel line shields.
-both 1970 (2pc welded) and 1971(1pc) correct roadlamp brackets with the correct "R" & "L" for 1970, and "RH" & "LH" 1971 stamped in each.
-1970-1 galvanized side marker backing plates with the correct die # stamped in each
-hemi / max wedge distributor hold down clamps
-hemi,440-6,340 shaker feet...both hemi and 6-pack are correctly rubber dipped lower portion as done by the factory
-correct shaker base plate to adaptor ring steel diamond washers with slight top edge chamfer exact to factory.
-1970-4 Challenger R/T hood block-off plates.

Anyone can feel free to contact me @ BAKURRUDA@AOL.COM
Thanks
Jim

Is there another sheet metal part that shields this assembly? I ask because mine has the N95 stuff but has this extra sheet metal part hanging from the wheel tub. It's fastened with 2 bolts/screws and the other end has a hole to fasten somewhere but I don't know where? Right now it's flopping around on the wheel tub.....

It's almost like a mudflap, except it flops around as it's only fastened at the top?

Yes, I think you're missing the other side.  That hole should have a screw holding it up and connecting it to the 2nd piece that goes through that rail.... right?  @JEJJ (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/jejj_169)  should know.
