Cuda Challenger Seatbelts Restored Deluxe Seat Belts
I don't know the seller nor have I ever done business with them.  The push buttons don't look correct to me.  I see two dual stowage clips for the front seats.  If someone only needs one, I'd be interested in the other.

Those are 1970 retractors, but some of labels are incorrect for 1970. Also for the 1970, it's missing the covers that go under the carpet (one year only). Seems to be a mix and match from what I can tell. And I cannot see the tongues #, but they should be P-535. Looks to be a bit of a high price to for what you get - IMO.

Here's a picture of one of mine showing the proper button.
I don't know what a decent set of belts is worth now.  Edward's did great work for many years but had a bunch of issues in recent years and is either out of business or unreliable if he still is taking on work.

Just an FYI, I got a ballpark estimate of $1100 from Sharon's Web in 2023 to restore my cores.  They mentioned they had extra push button's at a cost of $25 each if I recall correctly.

I think that is about right for the restoration of seat belts with labels (I am assuming the quote from Sharon include that). Here's a picture of my Deluxe seat belts that I am pretty sure are 1971s and not '70s. I never did see a set of '70, but if I do, I would definitely buy them. You all can correct me if I got the year wrong.

I believe that the above pictured single seat belt buckle is just the standard 1971 seat buckle as seen in this set pictured here.
The ones pictured in the $1200 set have the correct black plastic cover with white border, but appear to be using the standard 72 style plastic foil covered release button.
They will work, but are not the correct factory aluminum deluxe seat belt release button.
Pictured also here are a couple correct deluxe seat belts.

Oh OK - well I am now understanding. So what I have is the standard 1971 seat belts (that's my single seat beat buckle I posted).  Is that correct? I do see the Deluxe seat belts are considerably different then the one I posted, so thanks a lot for posting your pictures and the background on all the various iterations of the seat belts. I am still happy with the standard belts for 1971; they look a lot better then the standard ones from 1970. Which look more like the 1969 variety, B-body.

Yes yours is a standard 1971 female belt buckle.
It would say either Pontonier or American Safety on the rear side,
Pontonier being more correct for E-body

Does anyone know if the supply vendors (Pontonier or American Safety) were specific to an assembly plant or body type (A,B,C,E)? I've seen Pontonier Deluxe belts in 1970 E-Body cars and American Safety in 1970 C-Body cars.

Did 1970 Cuda have a Deluxe seat belt option?  If so, would it be listed on the fender tag as C15 or would it have been included on the fender tag under a larger option group?

Thank you

I have always found American Safety in 1970 LA built E Bodies and Pontonier in Hamtramck E Bodies with standard belts. 70 cuda did have a Deluxe seat belt option, C15 on the tag. Don't know about the Deluxe seat belt supplier for the LA plant
