Can anyone give me some idea of what moparty is?
What happens?  What should one do there?

I can read.  But would like to hear who is going and what they are doing there.

NHOA

NHOA reunion Hosted by the Holley Moparty 2025

As the title states we are going to attempt to have a National Hemi Owners Association reunion this year. The folks at FM3 productions have agreed to allow us the space or to host us as part of the Holley Moparty. I wrote this up for our Facebook group and thought I would share it over here if possible.
I would like to take this opportunity to invite and encourage everyone who owns a REAL factory 426 hemi car to attend MoParty 2025 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Restored, unrestored, non-running projects, all are welcome. The dates for the show are September 12-14 2025.

If you have never attended the MoParty, it is a growing Mopar only show with multiple activities going on all weekend. You have a great car show, swap meet, drag racing, and autocross, just to name a few activities within the event itself. It is also held at the Beech Bend Park, which has an onsite campground and amusement park. Bowling Green has multiple hotels and restaurants that help to make for an enjoyable weekend.
As we get closer to this event, we will need to make sure all car show entries are marked for the NHOA reunion. This should be on the pre-registration paperwork. Doing this will help us estimate and plan how many to expect. I also encourage previous club members to come to share stories and photos of past meets.

More details will come as we start to put this event together. As I mentioned, it will take a team to pull off a successful reunion. I would really like to put together an awesome group of factory Hemi cars to encourage future generations and to keep that fire burning.

Thank you, and If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

I've been there every year so far and plan to be there this year.
It's a fun show with something for everyone in a beautiful facility.
They have drag racing, autocross, swap meet and a car show.  Also burnout and mullet contests.
The car show part is fairly informal, parking is not organized by models or anything like that.  There's some OEM level restos there and an impressive survivor tent, but mostly just what I'd call fun Mopars that are driven, some of the YouTube channel guys are there, a fair number of roadkill type cars.
I was registered to have my Magnum there last year but terrible weather forecasts due to hurricane remnants made me lose my enthusiasm for going to all the trouble and hassles of trailering a car, and just drove my new Scat Pack instead.  As it turned out, skies parted most of the weekend and we had a lot of nice weather, but the forecasts scared a lot of participants away, car count was down.
Hopefully this year weather will be great, and I'll get the Magnum there.
I have a lot of pictures from last year, but 2 years ago when weather woes didn't scare off so many is a better representation, I took my convertible that year.

The Moparty Show is one of the few shows that is actually growing in size each year.  The show originally started in the late 80s in Chattanooga, TN. with sponsorship from the Honest Charley Speed Shops. Through the years, it has come and gone under different names, but mostly under the guidance of Ken Merideth.

In 2019, Holley purchased the naming rights and hired FM3 Marketing to promote the show.  The first year for them was 2020 and was put on with numerous restrictions on size and participation as Covid legislation was still in place.

FM3 Marketing puts on a variety of automotive events throughout the year and the US.  They are most well known for the LS Fest events which are huge.  Through there work, they are able to staff the events and run them as such.  They are able to recruit the midway vendors, the social media personalities and with the backing from Holley, they have the deep pockets to put on a good show.

The Moparty event is unique in that it is probably the most diverse Mopar show at the current time.  We do the Indy Cylinder Head Show, Carlisle, The Nats and we support a vendor at the Mopars in the Park Show and Moparfest in Canada.  As for a variety of events going on, only Carlisle comes close to offering a variety of different venues for the weekend.

We have been helping in sponsoring the event for the past two years under the Dale's Cuda Shop banner.  Since recruiting Geoff McBryde to oversee the swap meet area, it has grown each year.  It is no where as close to Carlisle in size, but due to the location, you draw cars and swap meet vendors which do not go to Carlisle.

Since the National Hemi Owners Association has come on board to host their national meet at this show, I know that cars are coming in from as far away as Arizona.  I have just gotten back from the Canada Moparfest and I know of two to three groups who will be coming down to view the show and one is hoping to bring his race car.

Currently, there is nine AAR/TA's that have registered for the event.  Two more are on the fence about coming, so ten is the magic number to having a designated parking area for these cars.

Due to the location, spectators and participants are more from the Midwest vs the Northeast.  You do see people from Wisconsin, Idaho, Texas, Missouri and the like.  It is not big enough yet in my opinion to make more than a nine hour drive to the event.  Hopefully, it will continue to grow as that area does not have a really large Mopar event to support.  This is the closest show to home that we do, so I really do hope that it thrives in the years to come.

You can check out the event schedule to see what all is on the agenda.  They run a tight schedule as they want you to come into the event, enjoy it and come back to the show and the other venues that they put on throughout the year.

Personally, the only drawback to the event is that to get to the track, there is basically only one way in and out.  It is a beautiful area of rolling pastures and such, but congestion entering and exiting can be a problem during peak times, but the FM3 Group deals with 50,000 plus people on a daily basis for LS Fest, so the Mopar show is easy for them.

For those who will be attending, stop by and say hello to us under the large tent as you enter the swap meet area from the show field.  If there is any special request for parts to bring, please drop me a message.  Hopes that this gives some insight into the event.

My buddy and I will be there this year in the swap meet E15-E17.  Last year was going to be our first, but the hurricane scared us off.  Extended weather forecast this year looks great!

I sure hope so.  The first year in 2020, it was perfect.  In the years since we've had a few showers and such.  I remember the second year's Saturday morning was a washout, but the rest of the weekend was nice. We need weather to repeat like it was in 2020!
A local dealership, Martin CDJR, was hosting a kickoff cruise night Thursday before the show, which was well attended and had food trucks.  They didn't do that last year due to a conflict, any word on if that is back on?

avatar_JH27N0B @JH27N0B, the Martin Dodge Jeep Chrysler Ram Dealership will be once again hosting a kick off cruise in at the dealership on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  I am sure that there will be a good turnout for the dealership as it has been well received in the prior years. The address for the dealership is 2209 Scottsville Road.

It looks like a great show but unfortunately I have never been. I love any show that also has some type of racing rather than just sitting around next to the cars. I just did a local show that had a slalom course and burnout competition at a small circle track facility, I did the slalom course again with the cuda and it was a lot of fun. Last year I got third place behind an `02 fully prepped Corvette and a brand new Corvette beating newer Mustangs and other cars, this year I hit a cone which was a two second penalty.

The autocross activities at Moparty are growing and getting really busy. In fact, this year I read they are hosting a new event, an autocross academy or university, I'd have to look back to see what they are calling it, but at any rate, there will be a course given there to teach budding autocross participants the rules and techniques.
avatar_MOPAR MITCH @MOPAR MITCH here is a veteran autocross racer in his T/A and races at Moparty every year.
I really enjoy watching the drag racing there.  The grandstands have roofs so it is really nice being able to sit and watch the action without getting baked and sunburned by the sun!  And you can get really close to the track, so don't forget your earplugs!

As a total novice to the whole cornering thing I would love to have an event that would teach us newbies the basics. The closest autocross to me is Fort Devens Massachusetts which is only about 1 hour and 45 minutes away but I haven`t made it there yet.

I get to spend Saturday there.  Can't wait!!

I have some M46 stuff going on.  More on that later after the event.

Since I'm only there one day I am sure I will miss a lot so I will just bump around and see what happens.

Brad was there a couple years ago, and he parked by our Chicagoland Mopar Connection gathering at the show. It was great to meet him and I hope he'll return!
