Hello everybody, I am a new member. I have a 73 Dodge Challenger and I have a question. My car was originally  equipped with A/C. I am not going to use A/C, only the heater. In fact no A/C pieces in the engine bay, all removed. With regards to the Heater/A/C box in the cockpit. Can I remove the, I think it called the A/C condenser, from the inside of the A/C heater box, and everything else still work?

Thanks everybody,
AL

Yea sure you could do it. The evaporator is a separate component of the heater box assembly and it can be removed by disassembly the entire box. Although I'm not sure what benefit you would get other then losing a few pounds  :dunno:

The "AC condenser" is the "rad type" thing mounted on the front of the car in front of the radiator.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I did my heater box a couple o months ago. I am not planning on fitting an AC compressor or condenser but I left the evaporator in the heater box anyway. I didn't see the point of removing it. Plus it will be there if I change my mind and want AC at some point in the future.

And  :welcome: to the forum. Heaps of really helpful people here the know e bodies inside out.
