I'm working on the seats and getting them cleaned up for upholstery.

I happen to notice which I didn't notice before, on one of the seatbacks a tag saying it was for the 1971 convertible only. I thought all the seats were the same between 1970 to 1971. I do see that there is spring support on the front and a rod welded on the back of the burlap-covered one. I can't see that making a difference in the Barracuda year and model.
Just wanted to verify before any more effort is made in case I have to find another seat part.

that is a late-'71 thru 1972 A/B/E-body seat frame - the metal seat frame tag will have a part number and date on it

I have not redone any, but that listing wire retainer?  might be for the buttons on a '71 'cuda leather seat?  @anlauto

You're right. Nov. 1971. The latch is a give away too. I don't know why I didn't notice it till now. I can fix all that.  I just want to make sure the "1971 Cuda convertible only" tag is misinformation. There seem to be some minor details that can be overlooked with these seats with the running changes in 71 through 72.

I believe the date "1171" would be the 117th day of 1971 (Tuesday April 27, 1971)
