Same as what's posted on their website, 4-8 weeks.

I'm at least 6-8 months away from needing it, maybe even longer. I ordered now because I've read about some having to wait close to a year to get theirs.

I ordered a dash pad from Dash Pad Pros, El Paso Tx. last October. She told me 6 to 8 weeks. When that passed, I contacted them again. It will be shipped after Thanksgiving. That passed and I contacted them three more times with no replies. It's been going on for 7 months now. I'm still holding on to hope that it'll show up on my doorstep someday. :dunno:

@Marty thanks for posting this.  I keep getting tempted to pull the trigger on one of these, but reports like your sure aren't confidence inspiring.   :Thud:

IIRC, @70_440-6Cuda got a Cuda dash from them back in September for a good price through an E-Bay ad, and his was shipped out within just a couple of days.  But seems like any hopes of Dash Pad Pros' reputation improving due to his daughter's more recent involvement in the business are just that, hopes.

I ordered mine shortly after @70_440-6Cuda  received his. A week or so I believe. That's why I went ahead and ordered thinking I'd have mine in a timely manner. Core and $$. :'( I really hope they come through.

Unbelievable how much $$ these things are commanding! And for $2K you would think they would be perfect...but we all know they aren't going to be.
I remember agonizing over buying my dash pad years ago..maybe it was around $700? Thinking at the time that it was a lot of dough for a dash pad. But, I figured I'm looking at it all the time when driving so I better buy it. Reading this thread makes me feel like that $700 is some of the best money I ever spent on the car.

I sold a mint original pad a couple of years ago for $1800 thinking I was doing good...

Well, that's not instilling a bunch of confidence in my latest purchase. After reading this, I think I'm going to hold onto my steel core until I actually have the dash pad in my hands.

I had a thought regarding these plastic core pads. I wonder if using an adhesive to glue the pad to the frame might help to alleviate the warping problem.  Kind of like when installing hardwood flooring, glued and nailed down. Would suck for the next guy replacing the pad, but might be worth a try?

In the past I remember hearing about people having issues getting their core charges back when dealing with the El Paso dash guy.
Hopefully that isn't an issue currently.
I bought one from him years back when a vendor in AZ was sponsoring a "group buy" on cuda-challenger.com.  Having a middleman involved helped prevent any problems I think.  My recollection is the process went very smoothly.  I ordered the dash, and when it arrived, I was instructed to package up my core in the same box the new one came in from him, and make a call to schedule Fed Ex to come pick it up and ship it back.
Easy-peasy.  But that was a long time ago, might have been 15 years ago.  And the price was $600 or maybe $650.
I guess those were better times!
Though the story I was hearing back then was that people were sending their cores back, and then not getting their core charge.  Those of us in the group buy all got our money promptly.

@DeathProofCuda you are correct I ordered a dash pad from Dash Pad Pros back in August 2022.  I saw they had a bunch posted on eBay so I sent an IM and got in touch with Alannah and made a deal over the phone.  It was interesting because she was pretty adamant about selling it that day and kept lowering the price until I pulled the trigger.  It was a bit of a gamble because I paid her directly through Zelle so no recourse if it went south.  I got a little nervous because shipping was delayed a couple days, but communication was good and the dash arrived within a week.  I paid $1000 total, including shipping and never sent in a core.  I am going to assume I got very lucky!!

When I spoke to her, she said the biggest problem was getting the materials due to petroleum product shortages  :notsure:

I also checked with Just Dashes because they are local, but it was very expensive and long lead times.  I would guess if Dash Pad Pros does not have anything listed on ebay they probably do not have them in stock and the turnaround will be delayed as it has been historically.

I did find this one, but also crazy expensive...

@Deezel did they want full payment up front ?

Yes. They sent me an invoice for the full amount. I paid with credit card so I do have recourse if needed.

That being said, I'm not ready to grab my torch and pitchfork just yet. They will be given an allotted time to get the dash pad to me. Once that time has expired, or if they go silent, I will get my CC company involved.

Yes, funny how their website lists "Only 1 left!" for each style of the E-body steel core dash pads.

Also, that crazy expensive one listed above would not be correct for 70 E-bodies, which use a script emblem on the right side. :alan2cents:

Thanks for the info, I have to order two, but I hate when companies take my money and sit on it for months at a time....I ordered and paid for PolyGlas tires from Summit last November that now say a Sept arrival date  :crazytalk:

I hate that also, and to me that is all greed. I'd expect a down/partial payment to ensure sincere but the full amount is just outrageous. Especially since most of these items would likely be easy to find another buyer, the risk is low that they would be out any $$.
