Shoddy Pad Question

Which way does the smaller shoddy pad go on the underside of the cowl, LH side?  That long piece hanging down wraps up underneath on with the left side or right side of the round air vent box.

Pic #1 or Pic #2?

Ah...funny...I just put one on this morning....I put it on like picture #1 the skinny side along the pedal assembly...

I'm not saying "I'm right".....I'm saying, that's how I do it.

just another tip: Before the dash goes in, you should paint the area around the dash black first

Found some good pics of Troy's TA that answered my question.  Also some good shots of the black painted area.  Looks like it was brushed on.
