Where does this bracket mount?

I'm restoring the dash and have a bunch of pictures from before tearing it apart, but apparently I removed this part before getting a picture of its place and orientation. I see in the serv.manual that it's part of the temperature control mounting, page 24-5, but can't find anywhere else on proper mounting and orientation.
