Welcome! Beautiful car. I just moved from SE PA to Florida. Where are you in NE PA? I know of a few good shops if you need reputable work completed.
Thanks,I live in Palmerton, northwest of Allentown. Who and where are these shops you speak of? I mostly do all my own work, but I like to keep my options open!  :bigthumb:

Welcome to the forum Voodoo Child! Beautiful Challenger! Will you be going to Carlisle next week? If you are, you should hang out with us in the club tent. You can find details in the Carlisle section.  :welcome:
I go every year on Sat. Only an 1 1/2hr drive for me! I've stopped at the tent a few times and chatted with a few members, Tried to make it for lunch the past few yrs but always get side tracked looking at cars or for parts! :takemymoney:

Welcome, neighbor!  :ohyeah:  Palmerton is very close to me as I am just outside of Brodheadsville.  Beautiful car you have!  I'm surprised I haven't seen it around.
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

Thanks Bud, I'm pretty anal about driving it. Not that it's #s matching or anything but she's all mine bought and paid for. Back in 15 I got rear ended by a kid coming home from a show! Since then I'm very particular where I go with it. I've been to Reagle's Mopar show and a number of Mopar madness cruise's with it.

Holy crap!  @Voodoo Child - do you perchance know an old, cantankerous SOB named "Sonny" out that way?  He lived in Palmerton back when I lived in Slatington (nearby you) - we both worked at a restoration shop called "Antique & Classic Restorations" which was in Germansville, PA.  I can't remember Sonny's last name, but him and I always gave each other so much sh!t at that place but he was like the grandpa I never had - I loved working with him.  They let me go very suddenly due to financial issues and I never got a chance to exchange numbers with him.  This was back in 2005.

He used to work for a car museum out that way somewhere (can't remember the name or where, but I believe the owner passed away,) I can't remember if he had any unique cars of his own, but was VERY handy around classics of all kinds.  He'd probably be early-to-mid 70's by now, he had gray hair - not balding if I recall - and always had a mustache.  He was slightly stocky, average height - kinduva thinner "Norm" from Cheers.

If by any chance you know him, I'd love to catch up with him!  I know Palmerton was a small town - I even remember going out to the Palmerton Cruise with him one time!

I'm a member of the Slate Belt Mighty Mopars that puts on that Father's Day Mopar show.  If you've been there, I'm sure I've seen it.  We are having another all makes show on Aug 13 at Reagle.  I'll have to come down to the Palmerton cruise one time soon.

Wow, small world! I don't know the gentlemen your describing but I do know the shop in Germansville. In fact the couple that bought my granmothers house on the west end of Palmerton (The Zinc Company bungalow homes they built for there workers) worked for that exact shop! I'll stop by there this weekend and look him up, could be the same guy? The museum I believe was JEM Auto Museum out in Mahoning Valley on 443, owned by John E. Morgan of Tamaqua. He made his fortune in knitting mills in the coal regions specializing in thermal long john's. He passed away maybe 6/8yrs ago, the cars and building were all auctioned off. Next year at Carlisle I'm going to make a point to get to the tent for lunch and meet you!

Aw bummer - I still speak highly of Sonny and have some hilarious stories from that shop we worked at together.

To be honest I think they closed though - their website was inactive a few years ago and looking them up on YellowPages.com shows them as "closed" (and they have 2 awful reviews which honestly don't surprise me...)  I hated leaving there but it probably wasn't the worse thing to happen in my brief stint in the automotive industry.  :)  Dunno your experience with them but I could tell ya a few things at least from the 6-or-so months I worked there.
