What would make a set of hinges not rebuildable?  Would prior installation of bushings in the hinges make them unrepairable?

Yes. They must be virgin, no repairs or prior work done.

Do you have restored hinges in stock? My car is going into paint today with the hinges coming off in a week or two, mainly concerned about turnaround so I don't interrupt his workflow too much.

No, Sorry, E-body cores are extremely hard to come by now and the hinges that I did sell, the buyers never sent me replacement cores.
 About 2 week tuurn around. You are not the first and will not be the last person that needs hinges right before paint. Should nave been done before even sanding was done. Your body guy should ahve notified you long before this. Sorry.

The car literally just got dropped off, there was no way for me to remove the doors and get the hinges off ahead of time, LOL. But thanks for the advice. I'll be in touch, 2 or 3 weeks isn't a big deal, he's going to have it for 7 weeks. I'll be in touch

I have a set of cores if anyone is interested
