I know, not the most appealing E-body option, but since my car had them from the factory, I'd like to have a set for show purposes...

THanks!

I have a couple sets that are packaged and I just put them in the trunk to be seen.

I'd think that they'd normally grip on the edge of the door, probably scratching the paint when you put them on, I wonder if they could be pried open a little bit, and be held in place with something inside to be removeable?
@bpsmopar if you have an extra set, please send me a PM if you can spare it!

Thanks

Ben

I installed them on my 1971 440+6 Challenger.....why not, they were on the BCS, so why not put them on the car ? :alan2cents:

I bought NOS ones, I think I might still have the bag they came in

@benlavigne Why do you think the door edge guards are not appealing? My car came with them and they are called out on the Broadcast Sheet. I repainted my car and didn't hesitate to tap on my original door edge guards. Wasn't worried if they scratched the paint (don't think they did) because I will never remove them.  The SE hood/fender trim pieces are also tapped on and I didn't hesitate to reinstall them after paint either. My opinion is the more options that are called out on the BCS, the better.  :alan2cents:

I have a pair of used Challenger originals, I'll see if I can find them & see what shape they are in

my '68 H/O was factory equipped with them, a $5.27 OPTION  :bigmoney: they clash with the stripes a bit, but they are there to stay

@headejm I think I have a mental block about them, seen too many of them from Pep-Boys (or Canadian Tire!), like the side moldings, you don't see them put back on very much.
But one of the things that make my car special is the number of factory options on it (32!), So I think I need to put them on, maybe once they are on, I'll learn to like them! I am trying to get the car back to 1970 stock as much as possible for Carlisle and MCACN. Working on the 14'' Road Wheels also!
@6bblgt if you could find them, that would be awesome!

The new owner might have taken them off by now  :dunno:

I like them on my car, but maybe I've just grown used to them after so many years.
Mine are a bit dinged up and if I had the chance maybe I'd replace them with a new pair, but I can't recall the last time I saw an NOS set for sale.  Probably GLNOS for around a million dollars!  :headbang:

@benlavigne  I found this bag that my NOS pair came in, but I'm not sure if there was a "left" and "right" bag....it says "1 piece"
@mccannix Terry, do you know if there is supposed to be two bags ? it would make sense.

Date is too late for your car :headbang:

I used to find them years ago at old dealerships.
If I recall there were two in each wrapper, the left and right under one part number.
If you were to need one you would have to order the single part number which got you both.
They are seen in the accessory book, therefore dealer installed.
I know 4 door ones all came in one wrapper, under one part number....a friend has a set he'll likely die with.
