I'm going to swap in a Gen3 hemi into my Challenger.
Current engine is a 69 340 with X-heads in good running condition.
In a perfect world, buyer could check out and drive the car before I pull the motor.
Motor has the good 340 exhaust manifolds and has Fitech EFI.
What's a fair price, with and without the exhaust manifolds and EFI?

Not a single guess on this?
My thoughts are:
1) $2500 for the complete deal (minus air cleaner). Air cleaner will be an easy sell for $300 min.
2) $1500 for the running motor, minus exhaust manifolds, EFI and Sanden compressor & bracket, pretty sure it wouldn't be too hard to get $1000 for these items
3) Part out the whole motor, I assume can get a minimum of $500 for the X-heads and $500 for the block, then all the other stuff is always needed by someone.

This may be a case of the individual parts will bring more money than the package deal, but I'll have to deal with selling and shipping piece meal.

I would think $2500 would be a bang up deal for someone needing a good motor but not looking for max HP..  Specifics on what has been done to the engine in the past might help find a buyer  :alan2cents:

Good luck with the sale

Mileage, original bore or not, and identify any mods to it will help determine a price.
Being in Canada, my guess on value would be worthless to you.

$2500 seems like a good price to me if it is a sold running motor. I put almost $3000 into mine to rebuild it with new crank and piston among other stuff. I would probably shy away if it needed a rebuild, but that is just me and I am sure others would put up the cash.

Hi-compression 340's are getting hard to find. If the engine runs good with no major issues; the $2500 price point cited above seems reasonable.
