Hi guys!

I have found a 1970 Cuda that is perfect for me and wanted to get your opinion about the value of it!
She is non numbers matching but date correct 383 with a833 both been rebuilt recently 4500 miles ago.Has fiberglass fenders and bondo in the 1/4 panel because of a tire blow out!Has aftermarket floor pan which does the job but not good looking.Cracks in the dash, a rip in the headliner!A crack in the grill as well.
The car used to be drag raced by the first owner who swapped out the fenders with fiberglass and the fender tag got lost!
She comes with QA1 level 2 suspension system, brand new Wilwood front discs brakes, and brand new 3.23 sure grip.
Has nitto NT555 G2 tires 245/40/17 and 275/40/17 with american racing salt flat wheels.
Headman header with 3" tti pipes.

I'd like to know what is a good price for her!
Thanks,
Peter

Lot's of problems with that one, I'd prob only offer him 15-20k.

So many things to undo and the paint is just well Maaco.

Wow,15-20k for a 1970 N code Cuda with rebuilt engine and trans? You know what the seller will say,no thanks !Since I have been looking at ads I have never seen a driver quality '70 4 speed Cuda go for 15-20k.I was hoping you would say 30-35K  ::)
Could you give me a sortlist what needs to be undone, please?I'm not looking for a factory correct car just a fun driver!

Thanks,

anlauto

I would say because it's a turn key driver as is...$25K'ish......Nowhere near $30K-$35K in my opinion with the terrible repairs, fiberglass fenders etc.... :alan2cents:

On a side note....those fenders look pretty darn straight :bigthumb:

Do you just want to drive it like it is, or restore it, or just change it to your liking?  Have you seen this car in person, driven it, looked under it?  I would before handing over any money.

You should set a TOTAL ALL IN budget and try to make it fit, easier said (or typed) than done I know.  I would say this Cuda has some serious issues, needs A LOT of work, but its still a '70 N code running driving.  I would offer $18k, go to $20k then walk. You can get a '73-74 for $20k that is in better condition (one that has real fenders for example), maybe not an N code but they are out there.

I love the look of the car, if your happy driving it the way it is, $25k seems right.
I'd expect a lot more for $35k

I love the look of it as well. No,I haven't seen it in person or driven it.Only saw pictures and videos of it.
I know I could get a '73-74 in better condition but they are not 1970 Cuda and that would bug me all the time.New fenders cost around a $1k and I could sell these fiberglass ones I guess to get some money back.I'd drive her as is and not restore it at all.Restoring my '68 Charger and never again in my life I will do it!

The asking price is 35k for it and the seller won't let her go for 18-20k!I wish he would but who would let a turn key 170 N coda Cuda for 20k?
Not worried about the trunk pan and repaint because labor is cheap here so could get her done right! But to just enjoy her she is fine as is,isn't she?

Thanks guys!

Do you live in the country of Hungary?  Not sure how much it would cost to ship but it might be worth the wait for another as yes it does look nice but 35k?  If labor is cheap where you live maybe you could find something that's unfinished or more honest in the sense of a paint job as I'm a little concerned what's under that paint. The cars stance is awesome but when it comes to what's under the paint I would be very concerned as it seems very questionable.

You asked what we thought this car is worth and we gave our opinions.

If your budget is $35K then I believe there are better cars out there  :alan2cents: that won't require "redoing with cheap labour"

That is not a $35k car. I sold both these cars last year for $45k each. Show quality paint and detailing with plated fasteners, painted underbellys, shakers, Both cars were factory 4 speeds and had stroker Hemis in them. This Cuda is no where near being half value of the two cars I sold. Values have edged up a bit since I sold but this shows what you can find out there. The orange car was a factory 4 speed A66 and the original 340 went with it, the Green car was a U-code 440 car with the original 4 speed and Dana 60.

Thanks for your feedback guys!I wasn't going to pay $35k or even 30 for her and I just didn't know the value of
'70 Cudas , that's all.
All the ads I see for '70 Cudas are priced way over 40k!I would have felt better to pay 28k for her if  I knew she was a fair deal!
I do love the car tho a lot!

Thanks again!

There is always something better, and 28 grand should buy you something nice.  They made a lot of 70 cudas, the year you want.  Be patient.  It costs too much to fix them up.  Have a budget and start shopping.
