I'm planning to put disc brakes on all 4 corners of my 1970 challenger. Right now it has drums all around so will need master cylinder, booster & everything else.

I'm going with 18" wheels so clearance should not be an issue.

I know the sky's the limit as far as cost goes, and my budget is not unlimited. Any reco's out there for decent quality kits that don't break the bank? What have people had good luck with?

I have Strange Engineering disc brakes on all four corners of my Challenger with manual master cylinder. Stops well from high mile per hour at the track

Auto cross, hill driving or any constant high speed stopping that heats up the brakes a lot. $ wheel dic is good. Any other normal driving, front disc, drum rear more than adequete. Use the money saved on the rear disc and buy better tires.

I have DrDiff ( Cass) rear 10.7"  disc brakes on mine for 13-15 years now with no issues. He used common stock replacement parts. Toyota disc, mustang caliper

A good read..... might be getting harder to find used spindles and the caliper brackets though ( any Cordoba's in your local wrecking yard?  '76-'79 B-body or 79-up R-body (St. Regis, etc.) but I see Cass now reproduces the slider type at addition cost.

Has no one considered the 93-98 jeep grand Cherokee rear discs?
I have them on my 8 1/4, in an A+B body.
They are a little more work to mount on the 8 3/4.

I went with SSBC 4-wheel disc "kit". I was a bit pissed because they claimed to work with the 15in rallye wheels and did not!! So I bought some 17in Cragar wheels and actually glad I did, like the size (more tire options) and love the look!!

I also have a bit of a cam so was not getting enough vacuum for the brakes to work properly (not SSBC's fault). So I installed a Hydro-Boost, and again glad I did!! It is amazing, would highly recomend.
