Best way to remove brake fluid from system

Drain the master cylinder then open the back right and right front bleeders and let them bleed a day or two. then I would crimp the lines anyway and pull it all out. I used DOT 5 the last few times with no issues.

I had dot 5 in a T bucket I built and had a problem with the cylinders leaking. Put Dot 4 in the clutch m/c on my Cuda and unfortunately the remote Reservoir leaked and ate the paint off the inner fender. I don't know what is the right way to go. But if you think about it you don't see dot 5 in our daily drivers. Got to wonder why!
