I never noticed this with my non sure grip.

I am running a Sure Grip (Dr Diff ) 3:55 gears (used, but in perfect condition) 3rd member.  It was built by a guy whose been doing mopar third members for over 40 years.

Anyway...when I leave a parking lot and make a turn I notice some noise in my rear end.  Just a subtle thunk sound

When I go straight no noise

When driving around corners, no noise

When doing a burnout, no noise.

IS this normal?  I think I notice it in reverse and turning in a parking lot.

I added a second bottle of the  mopar suregrip additive when I first noticed it.

I dont remember doing figure 8's to make sure the additive got spread around.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

The additive is most important in the center section not the axle brgs
IS a cone or clutch sure grip , usually the sure grip is locked until axle speed differs side to side then it unlocks so that could be the sound you are hearing , it is also possible the axle gears & spider gears or the cross shaft is worn . Overall I would say you don't have a problem if there is no noise at higher speeds & as long as it does not get worse
