Shock absober paint

Sorry if asked dozens of times before, but what (OEM) color should the front and rear shocks be painted?  I am thinking gloss black but not sure
I thought there was a thread that listed components and their OEM colors or if left bare metal but I can't find it.

It depends on the paint Manufacturer. Some semi gloss looks like a gloss. Others look more like a satin. I would try a semi gloss black or maybe a satin. Test it on metal first or maybe even do a spray out first and pick the one you like.
