Is there a rebuild kit available for the steering box? From who? Do I need numbers off my box to get the right kit or are they all about the same? Looking at doing a 74 Challenger and a 72 Cuda both with power steering.

I believe I got a kit form Rock Auto....it is really just seals and o-rings if I recall.

I think I have some pics of when I did mine I can share if you like.

@Cudajason  Jon says his is wandering a lot. Will seals and O rings solve that or is there more going on? Mines not as tight as it used to be. It's still pretty good but I thought I might try to get it back to where it was.

If its wandering, I would check the adjustment on the steering box and make sure it is tight first (large nut on the top of the box withe an allen key adjustment).  They I would check the alignment.

if that does not work, the seals may help.

So do you just turn that in a bit with the Allen key? I assume the nut is a jam nut.

yep, start with a 1/8 to a 1/4 turn and see what happens.

@Cudajason what's your opinion on level of difficulty to rebuild the box yourself?  Special tools needed?
