1972 'Cuda (FY1) - 5.7L Hemi, T56 Magnum

Not the best picture, but I took a stab at installing my headliner [first time] the other day. I need to let it warm up well outside but thus far, I am quite pleased with the results.

I would like to use your idea for the wooden body tilt so I can get to the bottom of the car easily. Can you give me any drawings or info with sizes and dimensions?
Where and how does it mount to the car in the front and rear?

Unfortunately I did not expect there to be so much interest in the tilt rig. I have had quite a few as for additional details.

The rig was built completely "on-the-fly" with a stack of material and a car to measure off of. As bad as it sounds, even as an engineer, I did not make any drawings or schematics.

It mounted on the front where the front bumper brackets bolt to the chassis.

It mounted on the rear at the four rear bumper bracket to chassis holes.

I doubled up 3/4" plywood on the ends and used some 2x4 and 2x6 supports to get it mounted to the car. I measured a common point so that I would keep the door 3-4" off of the ground when on its side and went from there. The car was extremely stable when tilted and was a one-man operation, with some floor jack help to get it going.

That's ok, what you have is great help and I can make that work. 

What is a steering quickener and what does it do? Does it work with your powered steering box? (Never seen those before)

The quickener amplifies the steering wheel input into the steering box. So less lock-to-lock turns. I've parked that concept for the time being, I have the parts on hand but have been focusing on getting the car on the road.

It'll be super thirsty as I tune it, so far it had just been fed by gas can and I was tired of that!

I roll over to 13 years of owning this particular Cuda, it's the only e-body I know.

Indeed! I've done some brake bleeding since and cleared up a big issue in my tune. Somehow I managed to turn on the launch control and it was on the 2-step rev limiter every time I hit 3800 rpm. It ought to go a little faster now.
