Was going to wait till Monday but got motivated after seeing all the Mopars at Darling's show in Augusta Maine on Saturday and finished getting the quarters, rear window area, dutchman panel and jambs in epoxy today. Next job is cleaning up some spots on the inside of the trunk pan and getting epoxy on it, then I can start cutting out the front floor pan.

In between doing some final skims on the trunk floor with All-Metal I started cutting out the front floor pan. Today I finished getting it all out and mostly cleaned up,almost ready for first test fit.

I knew it needed at least a drivers floor plan but after cleaning it up I'll need to do complete front floor as some previous owner hacked in a 4 spd section instead of just the hump.

I really enjoy build threads, thank you for sharing.  Question: The floor pans looked to be in really good shape with the exception of the patch you mentioned.  What was the deciding factor to forgo small patches and replace the entire front floor pan?

The floor pan was really solid except for the drivers footwelll area, the issue was that when some previous owner converted the car to a four speed manual instead of just adding the four speed hump they welded in an aproximately 4' x 3' section overlapping the existing floor. I could have cut out that section and butt wedled in a new section along with butt welding in a drivers footwell section but that would have been more work welding and grinding a lot of seams and IMO would not have been as nice a repair and not as strong as just welding in a complete new floor pan. Drilling and splitting all the spot welds is not really much fun either but it`s not hard work, just time consuming. I will also add some mig welds all over that no one will ever see but will add to the overall strength of the unibody.
