Alan, were those tail light housings restored by Stephan or did you find a suitable paint to spray them with. Since my car will be going under the knife soon mine are out and I'd like to do something with them other than leave them bare. Thanks, John.

In order to lift the front end like that, what are your lifting points? Thanks!

Really simple.

Build plates off where the bumper brackets bolt onto. Make a cardboard template.
Weld extension 1" stock. Have it extend about 2 feep past where bumper would be.

Then a cross bar. Ready to lift with Cherry picker and a chain.

Now CP  will chime in about a leveraging technique. .Choose your method. Up to you.

I prefer a much simpler approach....there's two holes in the front frame just ahead of the K Frame bolt holes. I use two heavy duty tie down straps hooked to the engine hoist right where you see it in the picture. The entire grill, bumper etc...remains in place, no need to make and brackets etc...

Oops....I wanted to do a "one year" post, but that was yesterday... :headbang:

So day #366....
The process is moving right along. I just snapped these pictures 5 minutes ago.
The underside is completely finished, all the glass is in and adjusted. Got the headliner in and it looks great, engine compartment just about done.
After typing this ....I'm going back out there to tackle the strobe stripes.... :).
