Thanks for sharing your car. I LOVE the look of this paint scheme! I think this may be how I paint mine. Congratulations!

I know about where it is, but only by tracing the cars history. I have never seen it or heard of it being for sale anywhere.

Ok. I understand the front plates meaning but how did you get a Texas plate living in LA? I've heard about those LA sheriffs. You may be in a hep o trouble, Son, if you every get pulled over for that racing type vehicle. Lol!

[emoji1][emoji1] it's my old plate from when I lived in Texas. I'm always proud to say I lived in Texas for a while!

Louisiana is a rear plate only state, so anything on the front is fair game. I thought it was only appropriate seeing the car's history.  Man oh man I cannot wait to drive this thing back that way and go on adventures looking for that Engine block and other goodies!

We love the car, Mark. Thank you so much for giving me the honor!

Post #33 is a 340 coming out with day two goodies on it.  Edelbrock 340 torquer II intake, direct connection harmonic balancer, electric ignition, SFI bell housing, and long tube headers.
It ran very smooth, but needed a refresh. Water pump leaked, valve covers leaked a little, etc

Soooo, knowing it needed a refresh, and the car came with the TA heads/rockers, exhaust manifolds and 6 barrel manifold... I figured I would take my time to build a proper 340 6 barrel.  But what to do in the mean time? I couldn't NOT drive this awesome car.

Soo I happened to have a complete Gen III hemi here That was in my other car. A fully rebuilt powertrain with 340 HP that bolts right in, without any modifications at all to the AAR... so that is the last picture you see. The new hemi will be pushing the car reliably at no additional cost to me, until I can put together the native powertrain.

I'm probably going to use it as a publicity tool to get the numbers matching block search on.

Whoever can produce the original block will get a fully drop in Hemi swap and tech support by my shop, DIYHEMI.com, in exchange

You might want to add some sort of temporary subframe connectors if you are added a bunch of horsepower.

I have some US Car tool subframe connectors but I'm not sure about installing them. Being an AAR, it has the extra torque boxes to increase body rigidity, just as the hemi and 440-6 cars did. The new hemi powertrain weighs 30% less and puts out 80HP less than a 426 hemi, so in theory, it should be good.

Yet to be decided, but thanks for chiming in
