Because stripping it again at this point is relatively cheap.... Trusting someone else's work & having it blow up after it's painted is very costly...

Yes: Sanding, cleaning and blowing on some more primer is nothing compared to the time and cost of materials to come afterwards.

The old adage of "never trust the body work of another ". I'd prefer to see what is there even though I checked it thoroughly during the pre purchase phase and the seller was brutally honest. The underside I may go with since it's spotless.  Still deciding and will know more when I get it on rotisserie. Great question by the way!
