After being off the road since 1978 she is finally purple again after being covered in a protective camouflage layer of white latex house paint by a prior caretaker decades ago. The painter even managed to save the original door sticker.

1970 Cuda 340. factory N96, FC7, 4-speed car.

The full resto thread is actually up on the yenko.net site in the Mopar section: https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=149631

But I will try to start a new one here now that she is finally purple again.

Thanks! I have no patience for bodywork. And I could never find someone up here who wouldn't sentence the car to bodyshop prison for years, so Dave volunteered to do the job in record time.  I can spend days on end wrenching greasy stuff but bodywork is a magic I don't have any aptitude for. So, my buddy Dave down in Texas did the body and paint work. It was part of the deal. I bought the car from him but he wanted to see it purple before it left and he does amazing work in his own little shop on his ranch. Mind you, he got to this point from in less than three months!!!

Drive train is already done and running. He is doing the front suspension as well just so I wont be scratching anything up to pull out a dirty K frame. So it will be a nice rolling car when I get it back.

It is a black interior car but I am thinking about switching it to white gut since I always wanted a purple/white car. No stripes (didn't come with them). I bought a pair of TommytheChryco's rubber bumpers and those are going on the car. It has a 3.23 single rear and could use a posi unit, maybe power steering....mission creep here we come!

I really like a white interior with FC7 as well.

Looks Great Steve. And great work by Dave. I know that cuda well and I am so glad it is getting done. One of the N96 340 Cuda's I have listed. Very rare car. Keep up the good work and hope to see it in NJ at some point
