SMS Auto wants $295 plus shipping (although they are local to me) and new AMD ones are $320, any other rebiulders out there? I`d do them myself but I cannot source the rivets, my buddy has a lathe so making some may be an option.

Better - only $225. SMS used to be a lot cheaper but the guy retired and the new owner upped his prices a lot.

I used one of RestoRick's kits and had good results.  There is a member that offers the service. @MoparLeo

Door hinge, hood hinge.  Same differnence, no?

Sorry, misread the original question.  I haven't seen a hood hinge kit. I have an extra set of hinges and was going to see about making new rivets/pins  on my lathe but that will be one of the last in a long list of things to get done.

Had mine done by Resto Rick. They work perfect now.Money well spent for the hood to open and close correctly.

Just has Resto Rick do a set for me a month ago.  Still only 225.00 and 3 day turnaround.  he even painted them body color for me for an additional fee.

If you don't mind sharing, how much for the painting? If I send mine in, I'd be interested in having them painted at the same time.

he charged me 100.00 to paint them.  i didn't think it was too much considering the convenience factor of just being able to install them.  He used the proper base coat clear coat.  Its going to matter if he has your color code, I was lucky he had some B5 laying around.

Sounds good. I need FE5. I'm sure he has it👍
