E-Body Sun Roof Key?

@anlauto  have you ever seen one of these?  Did E-Bodies really come with one of these?

That is the real deal. some sell for really stupid high prices :bricks:, like that one. Supposedly there are re-pops out there. I think Alan or someone else went into some detail on another site a while back.

Yes they are reproduced. I think Jimmy Boros has them. I bought two last year....guess I'll need two more this year :pullinghair:

For what it's worth, the next time one is walking through a salvage yard or all-makes swap meet, look for this tool.

There were only 2 major sunroof suppliers back in the day:  Golde (German) and ASC, which started off installing Golde sunroofs for the Big 3.

So Lincolns, T-Birds, Cougars, old Benzes, possibly VWs etc could well have the same item.

Heinz Prechter, who started ASC, was actually a protege of the Golde family.  So many parts and concepts are shared.
