is it recommended to either remove or loosen up the bracket from the door jamb to the B pillar that holds up the quarter panel to make it easier to adjust the aftermarket full quarter panels to get them straight ? And then tacking it back in place, remove the quarter panel and fully welding it. I have a blurry pic of the bracket, its the one that holds the window whiskers too.

There were some crappy factory welds on mine (70 Challenger) and they actually came apart during a very methodical removal of the old quarter. I simply welded them (better) back where they were.

I mean do you think that its easier to line up the body lines if this is off?

Mine came off during the disassembly, due to lousy factory welding. I fit the 1/4 and welded it back in once that was done. No issues doing so. Good luck and try to remember to weld up the gap where the 1/4 meets the roof pillar.
