What holds Challenger gas cap trim ring?

Brad, thanks so much, you nailed it.
I must have quarter panel issues, I bent the tabs almost 90 degrees and they just touch.
I added some silicon behind the bezel and tightened it up and all is well.

Glad to be helpful! Wow 90 degrees  that sure seems excessive? I remember reading about replacement quarter panels having issues with the recessed area around the gas cap not being right , I think it was not deep enough?

Those were the early skins, late 80's through the 90's & early 2000 time frame.....  Really poor excuse for a replacement panel... & Why so many of us who where around then still want nothing to do with repo metal.....

The issue is definitely that the recess is not deep enough.
I've had this car since the late 90s and assumed it was the original panel.
Who knows what may have happened before I got it.
