You guys are so lucky to be talking about outdoor gatherings

Today they lifted our "stay at home order" but we are still only allowed out door gatherings of no more than 5 people. :'(

Illinois infection rates are low.  We are going to the lowest level of restrictions next week.

I'm planning to vend there.  I am fully vaccinated, so don't be apprehensive about coming over and buying up all my stuff!

Gosh, haven't been to that show in awhile. And I'm gonna miss this one too...  :headbang:

I was out in Lemont last for the cruise - it was packed.

Planning to attend the event Sunday.

The show was a big success with a good turnout including a triple black V code cuda and a red with white vinyl top semi survivor T/A.  Had a great time and sold a few things too.

@JH27N0B Thanks for the photos! A lot of nice looking cars. Not quite sure about the red TA though.

It was apparent it had been repaired at some point, it had the late '71 style fenders with the notches.  So maybe it got in a front end collision decades ago, and when they repaired it they put the white stripes on it?
Whatever the case, it's only the second red with white top T/A I've ever seen!!

Nice to see you're out enjoying the car :drinkingbud: still looking great :D

Question about the red and white T/A Challenger.....shouldn't it have black stripes from the factory ? They never made white stripes did they ?

No they were always black OEM.  But back in the day, (back in my day at least, late 70s into the 80s) it was not uncommon to see T/As with white stripes as they were available aftermarket.
Brought back memories to me as it's been a while since I saw a T/A with white stripes.  No one would put anything but black stripes on a T/A today.
Unlike '70 cuda guys who still put white hockey stick stripes on their cars even though they were never originally sold that way.  ;)

Great to see your car and I wish I could have checked it out closer, I was vending so took a few quick runs over to the show cars to take pictures and say hi to a few friends before hustling back to my truck.

Looks like a good turn out. I was really debating making the 2.5 hour drive. I'm knee deep in installing a Sniper on the Barracuda.

The yellow 68 Superbee used to be owned by my father. Has / had a mildly built 440 from a previous owner in it.
I would drive it to HS (Notre Dame for Boys in Niles) in the early 90s while my Challenger R/T was being rebuilt. The Superbee was one of two muscle cars in the school parking lot in a sea of 5.0 Mustangs, 5.7L IROCs and Trans AMs. The Superbee with it's bench seat was great for cruising over to the all girls Catholic school to provide some transportation assistance.  :bigthumb:  :andyangel:
