THE ZUKE

Hello friends, :)

For tonight, I'll just have a question.

For a long time I would have attended a mega concentration of muscle cars, hot rods and others car like these across the Atlantic. :wowzers:

As we have been preparing a trip to the States, what do you think would be the best gathering? (Except the Sema Show).

In advance Thank you for your answers, if you could argue, it would be great  :bigthumb:

  Hello Sir,

I would Highly Recommend Hot August Nights in Reno Nevada!

5000 cars over 4 days. each of 6 major casinos have "show & shines" every day with between 400 & 1000 cars each. Cruising at night downtown under the Reno Arch. Live bands, swap meets. No safety issues & very friendly people!

Also the high end Hot August Nights Invitational inside the Reno Ballroom which is where the car I transported out there this year was displayed.

God Bless
Bill

... Depends on what time of year you want to come...and what area you want to visit!
On the East side, A great experience would be the Woodward Dream Cruise

Officially August 17th, it starts gathering speed a few days before, becoming a 6-lane wide rolling car show on the weekend!
Plus you can combine it with a side trip to Moparfest in Ontario on the Sunday...

If you want just Mopar, I would say Carlisle.  If you want an all can event, Hot August Nights in Reno and Woodward Dream Cruise are two big ones.

IRON MAN

If you like really BIG classic car shows August is a good time to visit the SF Bay Area and Reno, Nevada. They are about 230 miles apart.

On Aug 23-25, 2019 is 33rd West Coast Nationals GOODGUYS, Pleasanton, Ca 94566. Over 3000 hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars & trucks through 1972 only. The crowning of America's most beautiful Street Rod, Autocross, Burnout Competition, Swap Meet, Car Corral, Vendors & manufacturers exhibits, live music, miniature engine display by machinists. I have not missed this event in over twenty years.

I second the motion attending HOT AUGUST NIGHTS, Reno, Nevada August 6-11, 2019. Thousands of classic cars. If you go visit The Big Boy Toy Store. Lot's of auto parts vendors. Last time I went up, we went for a tour of south Lake Tahoe on the glass bottom boat the Tahoe Queen.

@THE ZUKE  do you have a year set yet and amount of days you plan to be in the states?

For my money, (usually more than I have), it's Hot August Nights, followed by  Monterey car week, which is the following week. The Reno show is awesome, and the Monterey events are off the chart. Both events have tons of different venues. Monterey may seem stuffy, but it isn't. The 'Cuda is always very well received and there are auctions galore, including Mecum. The historical racing, at Laguna Seca is unreal (hint, go on the preceding weekend, for practice. All the same cars, at a fraction of the price).  Monterey is the epicenter of the automotive universe. The scenery in both areas ain't bad, either.

Totally forgot about Monterey car week.  I have not been and it's been on my list of things to do.  Should we do an E-Bodies.org gathering there one year?  ;)

Thanks for your advices.
With the names you gave me, I watched a lot of videos on YOU TUBE. :inlove:
At home in comparaison with France, your shows seem gigantic. :perfect10:
The trip we are planning will be for August / September 2020 because this year in August we will go to New York specifically. ;)
It will be difficult to make a choice so the concentrations seem great

I'll be there, look for the yellow hemicuda. BTW, that car in the background sure looks familiar! My son and I just got it somewhat running, again.
