I'll play the devil's advocate here. Let's put emotion aside and look at this from a practical point of view. As far as the protests, I'm rather certain that they were not sanctioned as an allowable event by the health department. And in a protest situation with that many people, I'm also rather certain that writing tickets for failing to social distance is not a top priority for the police. As far as how serious is the virus, ask someone who has had it, or someone who has lost a family member or friend to it. Ask a front line worker who has seen people die from it. For those of us that have not contracted it, myself included, this whole situation is an inconvenience that we are all more than ready to be done with. But without social distancing, masks, reduced group size, travel restrictions, etc. this situation would have been far worse. Far more people would have been seriously ill, our hospitals would have been far overcapacity and certainly many more people would have died. Quite possibly even someone you know and love or maybe even you. I'd rather be cautious and alive than cynical and dead. And I'm glad my family feels the same way.

If all the stores are open especially liquor stores deemed "essential" by these moronic governors who have an agenda, then we should be allowed to go to an outdoor event. If someone doesn't feel safe- then don't go. Use common sense.

@mopartaz These governors might not be as moronic as you think. When I first heard of the liquor stores being deemed "essential" I thought like you did. My daughter is a front line worker. I asked her about it. She said if they close the beer and liquor stores all the alcoholics would go into withdrawal and end up in the hospitals for treatment. That alone would overwhelm the health care system without any Covid patients. I had never thought of it that way.

Has anyone thought to ask how many more drug and alcohol dependent people there are because of the stress of the draconian lock downs? How many suicides and chronically depressed?  Why is it ok for governors (Mr Murphy NJ)   to march with hundreds of protesters and not condone  it for "fear" of spreading the covid? Not one of these so called elected officials in the states with the most  stringent lock down measures have come out  publicly  and said the protesting was a bad thing, heck they endorse it. But locking down churches and small business is somehow ok? If people can assemble at a "protest" with the blessing of those elected officials why is it not ok to assemble  elsewhere? Murphy just lifted the ban on a lot of outside activities here. I was at a flea market this past weekend with over a thousand people --outside only half  wearing masks. People are starting to wake up to the fear mongering.

The only reason I posted this was as a warning  because Carlisle might get shut down by part of the government , not to start a political discussion ...
As far as the Plandemic goes if the Panama airport was not closed & if I could actually enter the USA having no status in the US I would be at Carlisle but that is not going to happen ....
Who the Heck is Mr Psycho

Yeah didn't mean to get political , just too many questions unanswered.

Mr Lee

Maybe the number of people gathered in a space should be relative to the size of the space?   Carlisle fairgrounds is huge.  Considering that many people will probably not show up, it will probably be no more densely polulated than Home Depot.  And if everyone practiced safe measures.... ?

Does this clear things up: Mr. C. Psycho Typically using "Mister" is a sign of respect (as mentioned earlier)

Or.... A sign that someone is rather pissed with you.

72 Challenger

I like the nick name Mr. Psycho :haha:

In reality, I have never met Neil but, back in the days of C-C, I owned my first challenger at the ripe age of 21 and went from a 318 to 360. He outlined everything I needed. I remember being blown away at how much he knew down to the smallest of details. At that time, I would have thought you needed to be psycho just to have that obscure information stored in your head.
Someday I will have a J0b.
