1970 Cuda AAR for sale

That car came with nice parts. Even had the super hard to find 2229171 MC. :bigthumb:

I periodically like to run the numbers on actual auction sales for ebody Mopars
I am happy for the owner who received 36.6 k for a rare car that does need extensive restoration work.
It seems to me that this is a lot of money for a car that is no more or no less rare then the cars that went to auction.
Many of the auction cars sold in the 60-80k range with the 6 figure cars having high options or super low miles.
My point is that 36k for that car plus the cost of restoration would probably exceed what the car sells for at auction.
Just my opinion, and please glean your own opinion from the data.  :dunno:

I own the green car with the 300k restoration, its a sweet car brand new everywhere, no money was object whoever did this car

@badfish70 You own the "300k restoration" of a green cuda from ebay?  I remember it was for sale.  How about sharing some pictures as there was a thread devoted to that car, but I cant find it.

Though I'm not at all impressed with the accuracy of Muscle Car Restorations work, I'll say the customer who paid the 300K restoring the AAR got a better deal than the customer of a different shop got for their 300K for doing this Challenger!

WoW...yea I agree with you there, :drunk:  however I understand how building a modified car car add up quick....doing a "stock resto" should really only cost so much....$300K sounds over the top.....would love to see the car, I'm sure it's beautiful even though it may not be 100% correct.

Hmm: Well, that Challenger is a $40k car I'd say, Oh and I wouldn't give that much. Hopefully no one here owns it, but that's what I see.

Hi guys I'll post up some pics soon.this car is 98 percent correct.they did some very small little things not right that is very easy to correct.dont get why they didn't do these small things.maybe the guy ran out of money.this car is amazeing though

That was one of the biggest things that caught my eye as incorrect, is the 71 console with the ash tray.  A correct spacesaver spare, and '70 only "9171" master cylinder to replace the aftermarket one are the only 2 expensive and hard to find parts I see needing replacement to make the car correct.
Things like taking the tag off the battery, painting the dipstick handle black, and painting the bypass hose on the engine hemi orange are cheap and easy enough!
All in all a very pretty AAR!  :inlove:

I agree: It's a great looking car. Now don't get me wrong and I know you didn't do the resto but if I did have over $100k into a resto trust me it would not have any repro parts on it other than say the headliner and things like that. Over $100k and you better have correct date coded castings everywhere. Again though, I love the car and would be very proud to own it. You're going to have a great car for the price with a few minor details!

If I was the guy that spent $300K, I certainly wouldn't advertise that....and heck if I was the shop that invoiced the guy $300K, I CERTAINLY WOULDN'T want that advertised :o

Im glad badfish70 is happy as he sounds like he really likes the car.  I wish F8 cars got more love.  Personally, I love green so maybe that is why I like them so much.  F8 reminds me of the 70's and with black accents... :ohyeah:
