There will not be a build sheet, as the LA plant had a "No Waste" policy and all build sheets were discarded on the assembly line. There are a few examples where this did not happen, however. You can never say 100% on anything in the Mopar world.

mine has one, too bad it's for another /6 a couple hundred #s off mine  :crying:
Growing older is mandatory...growing up is optional.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

'70 Barracuda B5/B5 225 /6 3spd ... about as bare bones as they came

This guys positive rating is 88.9 which is horrible and the feedback on his sales looks pretty poor. Don't think I would try any kind of online purchase from them.  :alan2cents:

known pre-production "PILOT" E-bodies from MI -

BS23R0B100003

BH27N0B100008
BS23R0B100010

JS23R0B100020
JS27V0B100021
JS27R0B100022
JS27V0B100028

Pilot cars all have the 801 build date right?
Were they actually built on August 1st, or were they made before that?

Can you share any more info on BH23G0E100001 ?
VIN number 1 would be such a cool number to have, even if it's a 318 car.  :)

Is the VIN for Yellow Jacket / Diamante on your list already?   I heard it's the first Hemi Challenger built.

It seems like there should be some pilot A body VINs mixed in there also right?   Is that what the missing numbers are?

for 1970 "PILOT" cars received an 801-SPD, they were built months prior to that

IIRC the original engines in:
0B100004 engine assembly date is F440 5/21 HP & 0B100021 engine assembly date is F440 5/28 HP

0B100022 is Yellow Jacket/Diamante (& has the same owner as 0E100001 - 318 auto is all I know)

Yes, there should also be "PILOT" A-bodies from Hamtramck & B-bodies from LA - I know of none

What does it mean that it is a pilot car?
Maybe he means to say it is a "Project Car" ... or he's a pilot?  :dunno:

Now that's a cool tag of codes!  :bravo:

scf100

What are the codes for each plant?
1970 Challenger R/T convertible Triple Black

1 Wild R/T

For the truly knowledgable ones, did they start production earlier in 72? Cause scf100's car has a 730 SPD which points to a earlier than normal build date....  But the sequence number isn't real early.... And certainly isn't late...

6bblgt

6th digit -
Hamtramck, MI assembly = "B"
Los Angeles, CA assembly = "E"

Cuda Cody

:iagree:  Only 2 plants build E-Bodies.     For example, BS23H0B123456 = Hamtramck, MI

Chrysler Corp. started "normal" 1972 model year production around 7/14/71

Does anyone know the whereabouts of JS23V0B100019? I used to own it. I bought it from the original owners back in '89-'90. I sold it in 2000. I lost track of it after Barrett Jackson auction in 2003. Just wondering where it is now.

Cuda Cody

Seriously?  @Shakerdon  you owned BS23V0E100007?  :clapping:  PLEASE  :please: tell us anyting you remember about the car.  I know @cudaized  was interested in it and I think @6bblgt  was looking for info on it too.   :checkmail:  Can't wait to hear what you remember about it.

I didn't own the Cuda. I owned JS23V0B1000019, '70 Challenger R/T 440 six pack pilot car. Sorry for the confusion.
