70 Convertible RT's

Brand new to this forum, and possibly a new E body guy. Currently own a 69 Charger RT

I am looking at a 70 RT convertible and noticed no hood pins were on this car. I read that all RT's had hood pins but noticed an old picture where the RT convertible did not have hood pins. I am an original guy and wanted to find out what was correct.

The information you read is incorrect.
On 1970-71 "BS" Cuda's  Hood Pins were a standard part of the "Cuda" package. not available in 72-74.


On ALL 1970-71 Challengers (with the exception of the T/A) hood pins were an extra cost option reguardless of being a "JH" or "JS".  not available in 72-74.

And FWIW I prefer not to have them... I've seen more scratched paint because people can't seem to be careful... And honestly I prefer the clean uncluttered lines... Hood pins are line tattoos, Challengers don't need extra stuff to look good....

There was a black one from Louisiana that was sold a couple months ago....triple black

~40.8% of 1970 Challenger R/T convertibles had the OPTIONAL "hood pins"

for 1970:
Plymouth 'cuda got you STANDARD hood pins, belt & rocker mouldings, and FOG lights 
&
Dodge Challenger R/T got you STANDARD stripes & rallye gauges

My 70 RT Vert came without hood pins. The former owner installed a set and I left them on when I restore it because they look cool and I didn't want to bondo up the hood.
