Saw this posted by an employee.

"I work for Edelbrock/Comp Cams (Comp Cams was acquired last year by the investment firm that owns Edelbrock) at Comp Cams headquarters in Memphis TN. Everything is crazy at our location, but here is what I can tell you :

The foundries aren't going anywhere.
Most of Edelbrocks corporate departments are being absorbed by Comp Cams corporate departments.
Some people will move from Torrance to Memphis or to our distribution center in Olive Branch, MS.
Some people will move to the foundry.
I don't have numbers for either moves.

This has been in the works since early last year and we've been trying to make the transition as easy as possible. Edelbrock will still be around for a long time."

Business's and resident's are exiting California and New York in droves, Taxes and regulation's are killing them.  :alan2cents:

One of my company's divisions left California a couple of years ago because of the stiff taxes even if you have one employee working in the state.  I work out of the house and If I said I was moving to California my company would say good luck even after being with them for 21 years.  There taxes suck.

Business are tired of being screwed over by state taxes and regulations. I have seen many leave Calif. and Now New York. They are moving to the southern states because we believe in helping business grow which means more jobs for its citizens. New York and Calif. are both bankrupt or near it and instead of curbing there spending they just keep raising taxes on its business and citizens. The cost of living in both states is out of control. People are moving out by the thousands. The old saying--You Reap What You Sow....

I live in Florida and number of license plates from New York and California I've seen in the last two days is wild. I'm used to seeing them here but not in these numbers.
