I need to clean this master cylinder/brake booster up as much as possible. I'm not sure if the booster is worth saving but would like to try if possible. It sounds like there is loose rust inside so it may be a lost cause. The M/C looks salveageable but will need some work. I'm thinking of soaking it in Evapo-rust but wonder if bead blasting might be better? The piston assembly will need to be removed/replaced and there is some pitting on the mating face of the booster. Anyone recommend a place to restore the M/C and booster?

I would blast it with glass beads, buit you need to check if the master cylinder is OK inside first.

Thanks. I will pull the mechanicals out of it and see if the internal portion is still ok to rebuild. I do have a new backup m/c but was trying to rescue this one that i pulled off a junkyard '70.

Brake and Equipment Warehouse is the place to go to have your master cylinder restored.
I'm not sure if the do boosters also.
Booster Dewey is the go to guy for boosters, I'd check with him to see if yours is salvageable.
