Previous owner removed the belt moldings on my SE and filled in all the holes. I am ready to drill the new holes but noticed that when I place the moldings on the top flat section of the doors and 1/4 panels that the moldings are about 1/4 inch narrower than the flat surface. Not sure if they should be centered or more to one side or the other. If someone would be kind enough to take pictures of their belt moldings from the top that would be great. Even better would be measurements for the holes if someone has an SE with the moldings removed.  THANKS!!

I do not have an SE.   :sorry:  Can you post a photo of yours?  It might help people see what you are dealing with.

I have a R/T with SE trim.  I can take pictures tonight for you.

Perfect! I will also post some pics to show what I mean.

I am almost positive that it is centered though.

It is...

Here are some pictures, I taped the mouldings flush to the inside edge that gives me about 5/16" space on the outer edge. Not sure if you should see paint on both sides of the molding? I sure do not want to drill the holes at the wrong location. :headbang:

I would say center it.

You should see a little paint between the belt moulding & the cat whisker.... Don't want them to be right on top of one another...  Maybe 1/8" - 5/32"   So center it & I think your good...

That's perfect, just what I was looking for!  Thanks!
