That is cool. Mckee, I forget the story but some fellow with a few bucks in Texas or Vegas had it built as I remember.

Ah: Stock body that could have been optioned with that Hemi and 4 speed. Stock block. stock heads, stock starter, stock 4 speed. Sure it was all massaged but those were the days.

 I'll take Fearless Buddy Baker over Petty in experience driving the Aero cars.
What i would give to be at the Chrysler 5 mile testing track when Buddy was behind the wheel of the Datona Charger.... :worship:

He had balls , over 200 in the 88 car , this was incredible , nothing was as fast in 69 , Indy / formula 1 purpose built cars were not running over 200 , even Can Am was a couple of years later touching 200 with Donohue / Porsche .
Hard to believe a basically factory car modified was the fastest race car in 69
I saw a picture of Buddy Drifting high on the bank in the 68/69 charger , should have saved the picture , I cannot find it again now !! running 180+ MPH & sliding  :worship:

   And Charlie Glotzbach ran over 240 MPH in the Datona Charger at the same track ... :o

I agree Buddy was fearless, he broke a few engines but you don't win with a light foot usually.
