Hello!

What speedo gear was used from factory on aar cudas, with  4-speed with 3.91.. ?

Any good source where to get one?

Does anyone have a good source?

Thanks
Nicklas

You didn't mention how tall your tires are. Need to know that to figure it out. MoparDave@Roseville Moparts got my last one for me.

I guessing he has the correct G60's    I'd say around 41-42.
Do you have the build sheet ?

A 235/60R15 is 26.0 inch tall. I'm thinking a G60 would be closer to the 245-255 range. That would be a little over 26 1/2 tall.  You are probably going to need a 39 tooth.

My Cuda has 275/40R17 and are 25" tall and the 42 tooth is right on with 3.91.

G60 is like a 245-60. 39 it is. I generally run 245 or 275 60x15's and I match the gear to the gear ratio 32 for 3.23, 41 for 4.10 and it gets you as close as the factory got it every time. These cars were lucky to have a speedometer within 5MPH when new.

@71REDCUDA  do you have the Build Sheet?  Here's the decoder that will tell you everything you need to know.

3.91 rear 4-speed on a 1970 Cuda would have a D57 and the "PIN" would be 39 - #2538939 Speedometer Pinion with 39 Teeth GREEN

303 Mopar

Once you figure out the right one, try @MoparDave first.  If he doesn't have one, Jamie Passon has some used ones that are in good shape.

@Cuda Cody Does that account for the larger rear tire size of the AAR ?
