Ordered the 833 re build kit today from Brewers.

So now comes the fun part; get it done by 5/4 and ready for the Mopar cruise.

I can go through a trans in a couple of hours , so it is just the time to remove & install it .
Did you not rebuild it while you were doing the rest of the car TC?

We felt it had low miles and it would be O.K. to let it keep going.

Pull it on a Saturday. I have access to  a rack then.

Drive it out to Niles. 20 miles away.  Meet with James.
Re build it, then drive back. Install.

Too far away to help unfortunatly or I would

55 miles north.
Parked and chatted with a few like minded folks.
55 miles south at probably an average of 25mph...

I did manage to  :burnout: around an a-hole Prius who cut me off. Small side street with no one else but us two. Changed into my lane slammed on brakes and continued over blocking my escape route. :pullinghair:

Home unharmed with ponderance of returning tomorrow.

Fixed the leak of my power steering pump with a thin layer of grey sealant at the outlet valve and the red thread sealant at the thread of the power steering pump hose thread to the outlet valve. Took it for a drive and seems to be holding.

Used the Eastwood Rotary stripping/metal prep tool for the first time to clean up the quarters for the patches. Worked pretty quickly on a medium setting.

Spent a couple hours on Sunday doing the glamorous job of De-greasing and de-rusting my 8.75 rear end.
It is out of the car so I can also de-rust and paint the bottom of the floorpan.

Fixed a transmission fluid Leak.

Got my car started for the first time last weekend. Thought I got away with no leaks. 2 days later, transmission fluid on the floor. ???

Back on the jack stands and found the leak. At the front of the transmission tail housing, the access plat for the rear bearing seal.

For some reason it had 3 bolt holes instead of 2.  :notsure:    Cut a new one from cork, see how it holds up the next time I start the car!
