Murray, you might call Alan Gallant. He may have some and has likely installed a few and could give advice?  :alan2cents:

@anlauto has decided to go elsewhere I guess? Don't see posts from him anymore. :dunno:

I've noticed he's not as active on here as he used to be but he is still here. I hope everything is ok with him.

I just assumed he was gone. It's not like him to drop in and not have anything to say..... :))

More putzing on the engine swap. The Mopar Performance valve covers I have don't want to fit perfectly with the Chinese intake and I've had to carefully grind them where they meet the runners into the heads, so that they'll slide up enough to where I can get the valve cover bolts cleanly into the heads. Grrr! Of course this only requires installing (or the attempt thereof) them repeatedly (5-6 times) and getting the old wizzy wheel out to perform the surgery, but I think I got it. Now if the SOB's leak I won't have anybody to blame.  :(  The Mopar covers required a special Ford- I know- grommet with a 3/4" hole for the PCV valve. Guess what size the PCV out of the oem engine is- yep, 1/2"! Also, the tapped hole in the intake runner just happens to be 3/8 pipe- Yikes! After an hour or so of searching I took a chance and went to the big NAPA store/warehouse and lo and behold, damned if the lad didn't come up with the right one! That left only the issue of a new 3/4" PCV valve and if you can't give the techno weenies a make, model and year, they're SOL. Taking my one wee victory I headed for McNeil Auto and while the newer hire was caught similarly, the old (like me) owner came over, took one look, turned to his parts bin, reached out a hand and pulled out V178 valve that fit my grommet perfectly! We won't discuss the fact that it was for an old Chevy, but $5 later I was the proud man with all the pieces to finally install the PCV onto those swine valve covers! From such trivial victories comes a rather pathetic satisfaction, eh?  :bigthumb:

Small update. Dreading a different result, I finally got the stroker off the engine stand and fitted the 6 bolt flywheel that I had! Went on like it was made to! However, no good deed shall go unpunished, as when I went to fit the input shaft bushing into my nice, new Mopar performance crank, it fit like a saddle on a sow! WTF? Finding my old and cheap Chinesium snap gauges allowed me to realize the reason for that was that the crank hole was nearly .080" bigger than the bushing!!! OMG what now? Calling an engine builder/machinist friend he recommended checking with someone like McCallister-Carre. I tried on the internet- in vain- and suddenly thought and called Summit! The girl Kelly was right on the ball and we found that there was a needle bearing version for something like 82-09 Dodges or Jeeps and I think that'll work. I'll go to the dealer and see if I can lay hands on one and we'll see. Kinda anti-climatic after spending an hour finagling my old crank bushing out only to discover it was the same as the other two non-fitting bushes I had.  :pullinghair: This started out to be a nice, simple engine swap- where the hell did I drive into this ditch? Onward and upward lads!

Thx Brad, I'll take you up on your kind offer if req'd. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the dealer part, but couldn't get to one today. Grandaughter's first birthday today.  :bigthumb:
