Seems a stretch, but I don't know the potential value of a 71 340 4-speed car.

Appears to have lots of parts (some NOS) and documentation though clearly a lot missing to buy in addition to the work. Says he's owned it a year so I assume a flipper looking for a quick score. No bids and 8 days left???

Could be a flipper, but could be someone that got in over their head - I know I did!

So hard to judge what they are worth, but clearly it is more cost effective to buy a car that is complete or has already been restored - this hoppy is not an investment in my opinion.  Looks like a solid platform for a fun project though - price does seem steep
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

Blowout

$30K but reserve not met? Wonder where it's set at?

Brads70

"Starting" bid is 30k .... reserve not met. So what does the seller think it's worth then?
Hard to tell from those pictures metal condition? Nice to see it sand blasted though!  How many of those used parts would one actually use in a build?
They are not building anymore new 71 Cuda's so....?  :bigmoney:

If a person lived in the States, I think one could almost come close to breaking even....Because of the numbers matching and documentation.
I would say $30K to buy, about $90K to restore, the car could possibly reach six figures once restored. :alan2cents:

For me to restore that car for a customer, it would likely cost $120K CDN just for the resto....about $90K USD

For me to buy that car and get it home the $30K CDN becomes $50K CDN :crying:

With that said, anybody that wants to buy it and send it up....I'm booked  :stop:

Its concerning that there is no mention or picture of a fender tag.
The value of the car restored would be much less with no tag though the build sheet helps.

YYZ

Relative to the undocumented orange one up here — yes.

Good colour, 4-speed, solid looking body, lots of good and/or restored parts with it.

Presumably there is at least an FT with it to verify the options.

The ad says broadcast sheet is there albeit no picture of it.

If there's an original broadcast sheet, then the lack of a fender tag is a non-issue in my opinion  :alan2cents:

Hasn't that car been listed while ago? He'd be better off putting all the parts on the car then you can see what's really missing. That's where the price starts adding up!

$90K seems VERY reasonable to me to restore a car in that condition - want to do mine??? :haha:

Yes it was on ebay at least a few months back. I can't recall where it bid to but I've seen it before.
