 2 to make 1.
No torque boxes front or rear.
Never seen a v code without them.

They forgot the correct K member with a skid plate too.  You'd think doing a mashup of 2 V codes there would have been at least one usable K member available between the 2 cars.

.
I find it interesting that my 1970 sequential production number (300717) is relatively close to his 1971 model (300686), but yet his production date is Feb. 18th, and mine was April 8th . . . . that's slightly over a month and a half later.

Which means . . . they must have had the production line all figured out, and running like a well oiled sewing machine in their 2nd year of production.

It doesn`t specify what was used how it was "refurbished" from the two cars. Maybe the fender tag exports can tell if that one is original or a repro? I`d want to check the radiator support and cowl for matching numbers and evidence of cutting/welding.

From the seller:
Photos of the body panel stampings will also be uploaded. Please note that they do not match the VIN on the dashboard stamp.

1972 A/C body   :(  non-numbers matching engine & transmission

looks like the VIN and fender tags are all that survive from the original car

So just a re-body, you would think at least they could have found a `71 non-a/c body?

Too bad. In my eyes you have 3 e-bodies piddled away into never never land. 2 V-codes perished and nice parts hung on a 72 body with no title to match. It would have been better to have kept the 72 title and all numbers and be honest about it all. But that's just me.

This is a prime example of why so many of these "restorations" end up in dealers hands for sale.
Key line in add for me was "it has been said". Elimination of culpability for false advertising. Statement of talk, not statement of fact.
This would garner more value if built and sold as an upgraded restored.
IMHOP of course.

I sent an inquiry to the dealer requesting the complete VIN number.  This is the problem in this hobby, prior seller on BAT disclosed the re-body.  Now the dealer is promoting the car as a real V Code.  Let's see if they respond.

One has to wonder what happened behind the scenes with this car.  A dealer in Florida had it on BaT where there is no indication it sold.  Less than 2 weeks later it's at a dealer in Illinois.
