Good And Bad News With 71 Challenger

The red wire you tested earlier and had power, changes to black at the ammeter and powers up the battery side feed of the fuse panel. If you have power at the red at the B/H, you need to verify you have power at the red/black junction (ammeter). If you have power there you will need to find where the red wire ties to the fuse panel

I corrected the above, I had typed black wire at the fuse panel. It was supposed to be red.

I forgot about the 5 way splice in between the ammeter and fuse panel. If you have 12vdc at the previous location of the ammeter but not at the panel, the 5 way splice may be your issue. I have never experienced an issue with it but I have heard of others claim it came apart on them.  :alan2cents:
