Does anyone know if there is a "how to" guide for converting from an automatic to manual transmission? I have a 4 speed, but I don't have any of the shift linkage or pedals, or any other parts I might need.

Thanks!

Since your car is "not stock" I would highly recommend a hydraulic clutch set-up....it really simplifies the list of parts you'll need
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

If you need all the parts, you can get a package from Jamie Passon with everything you need. I think Brewers as well. I did the swap on a 71 a few years ago and Passon sent us everything we needed.

Thanks guys! I'll give Brewers a call, and I'll be sure to ask about the hydraulic clutch.

Other than the hump in the floor pan, are there any other brackets or panels that need to be welded into the car?

If you go with a stock clutch setup you need to weld the bracket to the left frame rail for the ball stud to support the clutch Z-bar.

Why would anybody want to change an automatic to a manual?? Shouldn't be the other way around lol  :dunno:

You like banging those gears huh? Lol

Seems to me that there's a firewall anti-flex brace, too. The Z bar and hardware and the block pivot knob; all of which you could do without by using the aforementioned hydraulic throwout setup. I'm not sure if the trans mount crosses over either.

Racing? Go automatic.
Cruising? Go Overdrive with a 5-Speed Passon or Tremec TKX!!!
