Hey guys,

While rebuilding my engine I replaced the fuel pump with the Edelbrock pump below.  I purchased some straight, coated fuel line.  The one that is already beaded with the fittings attached.  Just the stock stuff from Advanced Auto. I've used it a lot of times in the past with no issues.  The fitting is the correct diameter but it doesn't bottom out and won't tighten up in the pump.  Am I supposed to be using different hardware/plumbing with this pump?  Thanks

Bullitt-

Specs on pump are for NPT fitting which is not the flared fitting originally used ?

It's probably setup for tapered threads and not an inverted flare.

Oddly enough they are the same thread pitch.

OR, cut the end off and after replacing the fitting with the newly refurbished old one, re-flare it and be done.  :dunno:
