Anyone running the FI Tech fuel injection set up? On one of my Challengers, I was thinking of going this route. I wasn't ready to get one just yet but I found one for sale that is just too good a deal to overlook. The guy wants $700 for the complete set up still new in the box. From what I see online, it sells for over $1600

Is it a great system?

Are there any pieces I should be looking for when I look it over? I'd be pissed to buy it and later discover that it is missing some vital little component that is gonna set me back another $300.

Sorry no personal experience but most of the people using the system love it !
is there a detailed parts list online that you can look at if you search ?

I did print that out so I'm probably good. If anyone chimes in with a bad review though, I might reconsider. I've never heard anything bad about this system but who knows, maybe there is some new system that works way better.

I installed one and it worked okay but we ended up sending the ECU back so we could run the timing control. I have heard that some other buyers have had to send them back as well for various issues (not even 1/3 though). They are a good system and that is a good price but my only worry is that if you have an issue you won't have warranty on it. Most likely you won't have a problem but if you do...

It is a basic EFI but it is a wet intake system , I like the Multiport better but you are talking 3x the $$ at least

That would really suck if I had to send it in for any reason. I could only hope they would take care of it anyway if it's an obviously new throttle body that was clearly a defect rather than damage caused by improper installation. I would guess that in the car business, they probably have had customers who bought a system but didn't get it installed that same year. Good to know though about those issues.

If money were no object, I'd go with the multi port system but it's only a 383 to begin with and the cam is a mild upgrade with 906 heads rather than a racing engine.

Yes: Your application is perfect for that product. I've installed the Fitech, my son runs a Holley and an MSD. They're all pretty comparable I think.

Had my FiTech now for over a year and very happy with it.
I'd check pricing, paid $900 for mine with rebate almost 2 years ago, and I'd think it is cheaper now.

New in the box or not, it won't have a warranty from Fitech unless you buy it from one of their listed dealers.

That said, I don't think I would buy one second hand and scrap the warranty. While overall I believe they are pretty good, there are plenty out there with initial quality issues.

The fitech that i have installed has been great for about a year, no issues. I plan on buying a Holley sniper for my Warlock.

Don't know if it is the same, but it's no $1600  :alan2cents:

That's exactly what I got.  Be aware you're in for another $500-600 for new EFI gas tank, additional fuel line for return, tubing, etc...................

It's the 30001 and I just found it for $925 online. I looked it up last night and found a kit for $1600 but I think the one I looked at must have includes additional components.

Considering the new one is under $1000, that really changes everything for me. Getting one now is way ahead of my plan for this build but when I thought it was less than half price, it was hard to overlook a potential deal. Not knowing where this one came from and having no warranty kinda kills the deal for me unless the price comes down even lower.

And Katfish, I was planning to do all things as I built the car. EFI is attractive to this car build because it's a complete ground up restoration and I can put in all the right pieces as I build it up. Not overly concerned about originality.

Interesting reviews on Amazon....about the same amount of 5 stars as 1 star.

I'm reading better things about the Holley Sniper system than the FITech

Whatever system you choose. Get the in tank pump.

Fittech is direction I am planning on.

 :iagree:
Use a Tanks in system with in tank pump .
Not sure who is making the best Throttle body injection now so you need to do the research
You have MSD , Holley , Fitech , Fast , F & B , Fastman & probably a few more
