Just noticed GrandpaKevin's post above.    Same one that I mentioned.   Have you installed yet??   If so, post any tips.

Best to get the Tanksinc in tank pump and Holley's ignition system to complete the install. You get ignition timing control. Not sure about Holley but Fitech has problem using stock Mopar distributor. EFI needs clean ignition signal.

I'd get the Holly (no return line needed) in tank pump if I were going this route.

First I've heard of this...maybe that's why my customer is complaining about how his engine is running...He had it all dyno'd and I just simply installed what he supplied...I thought it ran nice, but he thought it should have more power....last I heard he was putting in a 440 instead... :looney:

Alan, that came from Fitech. It is on their website. They recommend the MSD billet distributor which has a larger reluctor wheel, fixed pickup sensor and larger cap. The instruction to setup is terrible and I read it 10 times to figure it out, call me dumb. Holley made it fool proof in their ignition setup. No thinking required.

Yea I hear ya about the instructions....I'm just riding in the boat, because the customer is always right...he provided the engine, it had FiTech and the stock Chrysler dizzy... :looney: I got it running that way, but it wasn't a great performer   :alan2cents:

Hey Chaps70RT . How accurate is the fuel gauge using this unit ?  As we have learned the standard aftermarket ones are not accurate at all .

mattF

I used the aeromotive Tanks/Pump set up. Original tank so decided to replace it all at one go and it was plug and play with a new sending unit. in tank pump and OEM tank bolts right now.
I think i paid $500 for it all together

I purchased one of these for my aftermarket setup. Not installed yet but sounds straight forward to fixing the erroneous readings.

I have to say the meter correction works pretty good. So far I got the F to 1/2 working great. 1/2 to E will need some fine tuning. So far I am happy with it.

I am just about to get mine running.   Having I suspect issues with fouled plugs.   Once I get it running and dialed in, I will report back on
the accuracy of the OEM Fuel gauge.  So far, the liquid filled pressure gauge is working.  I am getting around 58 pounds of gas pressure
and then it turns off with Earl's high pressure rubber fuel line.  Not sure if metal lines will withstand the pressure vs. stock.  Decided to go this
route based on others experience.

My experience with fuel injection and fuel pumps has been that intank pumps normally last longer and work better.  Also, I have found that a fuel pressure regulator with a return line normally allows for quicker, more consistent starting on hot days.  Running a high fuel pressure should eliminate vapor lock, percolation, whatever, but, in reality, a regulator with a return line maintains cooler fuel and creates a steadier pressure that allows for quicker starts in all types of weather.   :alan2cents:

Also, giving ignition control over to the management system is well worth it and will pay off in better performance and fuel mileage.

Holley really did make their sniper / dual sync setup idiot proof. I am evidence of that :)
