Noise when engaging gear

Hi All,
I'm hoping you can help me please, my A66 has developed a grinding noise when engaging gear, especially in reverse.
Do you know what this could be please?  The car drives fine and no issues changing gear.

P.S. The car is an automatic, 340 1970.

Although hard to be sure, could you have a cracked flex plate and that noise is the convertor moving around?
