Opinions of the engine pros please

This is the rear main seal retainer that I just pulled from a 440. Your opinions on its state of being, good, bad, or indifferent, would be appreciated.

I can tell why it was leaking , I bet the seal is fine but the side of the seal plate barely sealed on one side & never sealed at all on the passenger side . nothing wrong with the plate that I can see just terrible installation job .
